Yesterday, my friend and I decided to take a leisurely walk around Sloan’s Lake. As we strolled along, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, we noticed a dog on the opposite side of the lake suddenly take off at full speed, chasing a flock of geese. We watched with growing concern as the dog raced across the frozen surface of the lake. Deep down, we knew that the ice wouldn’t hold for long.
